After an awesome decent out of Carson City we found some fantastic donuts at a small bakery. We then caught out with Rebecca and the kids at a Pizza Hut where they were having some lunch.
Pizza stop for the kids and Rebecca.
We headed out of the city and were truly struck with how sparse the landscape was. After each set of rolling hills we found wide open landscape and could see for many miles. We were fortunate to have a fantastic tailwind most of the time and this aided in our recovery from the mountains the day before.
As we worked into more rural territory we found an almost empty reservoir. It is clear how much of a drought this part of the country is facing....
The worst part of the day was simply looking straight for about 3.5 hours without a change in view. Tomorrow will be much the same.
The campground in Fallon was great and simple. Paved parking pads, full hook ups and a convenience store attached. We made some yummy Chicken Tikka Masala and set up the projector to watch a movie outside at night.
All and all a great day. Tomorrow we are off to the middle of nowhere Middlegate Station, NV......

Visited my nephew in Fallon---beautiful little town but so desolate around!! Glad you had Middlegate Station!!
